St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church

The local community’s response to the humanitarian aid drive organized by St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Riverhead has been overwhelming and uplifting, Rev. Bohdan Hedz, the church’s pastor said today. “We were hoping to fill one truckload with items by Friday,” Hedz said, “instead we filled four truckloads.”

St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Riverhead is collecting donations to send overseas to support Ukraine’s people in their fight against Russian invasion.

The Ukrainian-American community in Riverhead is praying for peace in Ukraine, as the country and its allies brace for a possible invasion by neighboring superpower Russia.
