A former employee at Pazzo Ristorante and Wood Fired Pizzeria in Wading River is facing arson and other felonies in connection with the Nov. 18 fire at the pizzeria, the Suffolk D.A. announced Wednesday afternoon.

Investigations into the cause and impacts of a fire that "completely destroyed" a Calverton solid waste facility last Wednesday remain ongoing, officials say.

The vacant home, located on property owned by Riverhead town since August 2003, was fully engulfed in flames when first responders arrived at the scene Thursday morning, police said.

The blaze burned vehicles and storage containers in the yard of an equipment business at 1794 W. Main St. in Riverhead. No one was injured.
