Riverhead Fire Department’s Ironmen racing team hosted their 30th Annual Motorized Tournament yesterday at the Route 58 training grounds.

Fifteen volunteer fire departments from across Suffolk County competed in the tournament, which consisted of eight events, both motorized and old-fashioned events, designed to test firefighters’ skills, speed and efficiency.

Overall results:
1st Place – West Sayville
2nd Place – Islip
3rd – 4th Place – N. Lindenhurst and Central Islip (tie)
5th Place – Lindenhurst

Riverhead’s Ironmen team took 4th place in the Motor Pump event, finishing in 6.56 seconds.
