Roanoke Avenue Elementary School students flooded Roanoke Avenue Thursday afternoon, marching in the school’s annual Halloween parade down the road to Suffolk County National Bank, where employees handed out treats.
Choruses of “thank you” continued in the school’s parking lot, where parents gathered for a “Trunk or Treat” party and handed out candy from the backs of their decorated vehicles.
Costumed Pulaski Street School students marched in the opposite direction up Roanoke Avenue just before the younger students began their 2 p.m. parade. They were on their way back from a special Halloween outing to the aquarium.
