Riverhead police are looking for a burglar who made off with 50 cartons of cigarettes, a cash register and cash from a store on Route 25A in Wading River late last night.
The total haul is valued at $5,800, police said in a press release issued this morning.
A man threw a brick through the window to gain entry to “The Smoke Shop,” located at 6278 Route 25A at about 10:35 last night. Police responded to the commercial burglar alarm but the man had already fled the scene, police said. Police searched the area with no results.
