A Riverhead man is facing a felony burglary charge in connection with the burglary of a home on Deer Run in Wading River last week.

Police said sometime during the week of Feb. 14, Christopher Lull, 20, entered the home through a basement window and stole items including a safe, jewelry and electronics.

Lull was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 21 following an investigation, police said in a press release issued last night.

The continuing investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at another Wading River home yesterday, where some of the stolen property was recovered, according to the police report.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Editor’s note: The police press release stating the incident occurred during the week of Dec. 14 was in error. The press release should have said during the week of Feb. 14, a Riverhead PD desk officer said this morning.

Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
