The Subway fast food restaurant in Wading River was robbed at knifepoint again last night.
Riverhead Town Police said an unknown man entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded money at about 8:50 p.m. yesterday. A Riverhead Police K9 unit searched the area without result.
It was the second time in less than a week that the sandwich shop was robbed at knifepoint. Both robberies took place shortly before 9 p.m. and police gave the same general description of the the suspect in both incidents. No arrest has been reported in the July 7 robbery. Police did not say whether they believed the two robberies to have been committed by the same man.
The suspect was described by police as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark-colored hooded jacked, sunglasses, dark pants and gloves.
