Riverhead Highway Department crews will be out paving today and tomorrow, weather permitting, Highway Superintendent George Woodson said yesterday.

Road closures will take place for the safety of highway department workers, he said. But the closures will not affect school bus travel; buses will be allowed to pass through the construction zones.

Scheduled for paving work:

  •  Tuthill’s Lane from Apollo Drive to Church Lane (early this morning)
  • sections of Osborn Avenue in the following places:

Railroad Avenue to Pulaski Street

Hamilton Avenue to Woodcrest Avenue

town highway yard to just north of the bend in the road

traffic circle to Reeves/Youngs Avenue

  • sections of Northside Road in Wading River.
