The Riverhead Combined Veterans Committee will hold Veterans Day ceremonies on Nov. 11 at the War Memorial on West Main Street beginning at 11 a.m.

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a federal holiday. But since Veterans Day falls on a Saturday this year, schools and many government offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.

Federal, county and town offices and courts are closed today, but state offices are open.

The N.Y. Stock Exchange and banks are open today, as is the U.S. Postal Service. Banks and post offices will be closed tomorrow. There will be no mail delivery tomorrow.

Riverhead Free Library is open today and closed tomorrow.

The Long Island Railroad and Suffolk Transit buses are running on regular weekday schedules today.

The Riverhead Combined Veterans Committee will hold ceremonies in honor of Veterans Day tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the World War Memorial at the corner of Court Street and West Main Street in Riverhead. There will also be a 1 p.m. ceremony at Calverton National Cemetery.
