Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man they say tried to steal a shopping cart full of electronic merchandise from the Route 58 Walmart on Dec. 23 at about 4:15 p.m.
When confronted by store employees, the man ran into the parking lot and left the area in a white 2001 Ford F150 pickup truck, police said.
He was described by police as a white male, medium build, wearing eyeglasses, and facial hair, possibly early to middle 30s.
