Riverhead Town Police detectives are looking for the person or people who broke into a Route 58 equipment company early this morning and stole a portable generator.
Police said they responded to commercial burglary alarm at Malvese Equipment at 232 Old Country Road at 1:05 a.m. today and found the front glass doors were broken. Someone had entered the location and removed a New Holland portable generator, police said in a press release this morning.
A Riverhead Police K9 unit responded and searched the area with negative results, police said.
