Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man they say used a stolen credit card number to buy more than $10,000 worth of clothing online.

A man entered Schwing Electrical, at 1328 East Main St., on Feb. 2 and told employees that an online order he made had been delivered to the electrical supply store, according to a police press release. Employees were suspicious of the man’s story and did not release any packages to the man, who left the store without incident, police said.

Police said the man had used a stolen credit card number to purchase $10,400 worth of clothing from Barneys New York.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
