A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Pulaski Street and Raynor Avenue this morning sent two people to the hospital.

A pickup truck eastbound on Pulaski Street collided with an SUV that was southbound on Raynor Avenue just before 11 a.m., police said. The SUV overturned as a result of the crash. It came to a rest on its side against a guard rail on Raynor Avenue south of the intersection.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment of injuries police described as not life-threatening.

Pulaski Street was closed to traffic in both directions between Columbus and Kratoville avenues while police cleared the accident scene.
