Police seek pair they say stole safe with cash and jewelry from Wading River home

Images released by Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police of two men they say stole a safe from a Wading River home in August.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify two men they say stole a safe containing cash and jewelry from a Wading River home in August.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police detectives released surveillance camera images of the suspects. The two men entered a residence at 187 Great Rock Drive in Wading River on Aug. 11 at 2:18 p.m. and removed the safe, police said.

A light-colored SUV, possibly an Infinity, was seen in the area, according to the police report.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
