The public will be able to view Supervisor Yvette Aguiar’s State of the Town Address this afternoon via a live stream being aired at the Riverhead Town Hall boardroom, the supervisor’s office announced in a press release this morning.

Aguiar will deliver the speech tonight in the Sea Star Ballroom during a joint dinner meeting of the Riverhead Rotary, Lions and Kiwanis clubs — known as the tri-club meeting, the longstanding forum where prior supervisors traditionally gave the annual speech. Former-Supervisor Laura Jens-Smith broke with tradition and gave the speech instead at Town Hall, where it was open to the public and free to attend. Attendance at tonight’s dinner meeting requires the purchase of a $35 ticket to enter.

The tri-club event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and Aguiar’s speech is scheduled to begin around 7 p.m..

The speech can also be viewed live on the town’s website, and on Optimum channel 22, and via Zoom.
