A Riverhead man was arrested on stolen property charges and a drug possession charge last night, after he broke into a parked vehicle on East Main Street and stole two bags from inside the vehicle, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Riverhead police K-9 and patrol officers responded to complaints that a man broke a vehicle’s window before stealing two bags from inside, according to a police press release. Following an investigation, the K-9 officer located the stolen bags and a suspect, police said.
According to the report, Michael Meade, 38, of Riverhead, was charged with: three counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree, and
