Doris M. Rogalski of Southold died on Oct. 18, 2023, at her home. She was 92.
Born on Feb. 10, 1931, in Syosset to Felixa (née Malanecki) and Leon Slivonik, she was one of seven children. Rogalski graduated from Oyster Bay High School and later attended SUNY Farmingdale and SUNY Cortland, where she obtained her dental hygienist license. She married Stanley F. Rogalski at St. Edward the Confessor R.C. Church in Syosset. Together, they had three children. Rogalski worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Tasher in Glen Cove for 10 years. Her family said she will be remembered for her kind and loving heart, her spirit of giving and taking care of others.
She was predeceased by her siblings Stanley Slivonik, Wallace Slivonik, William Slivonik, Frances Joyce, Helen Rutzel and Lily Petrovsky. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Stanley; children Kim Rogalski of Bisbee, Arizona; Marcelle Sperduto (Stephen) of Huntington and Lynn Longo (Frank) of Mt. Airy, Maryland; grandchildren Lauren Hart, Zac Rogalski, Kaitlyn Bonus, Alexa Sperduto and Michael Sperduto, and great-grandchildren Kenzi Bonus and Theo Hart.
Visitation was held on Oct. 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The funeral was held on Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Mattituck, officiated by Father Ryszard Ficek and assisted by Deacon Doug Moran. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East End Hospice, Post Office Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, New York 11978.
