Southampton Town Police issued press releases this week reporting the following criminal incidents in the Flanders, Riverside, Northampton hamlets:
Byron Sinchi-Zamora, 26, of Riverside, was charged with two counts of Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage and another Vehicle and Traffic Law violation, following a crash on County Road 51 just south of Speonk-Riverhead Road in Northampton Jan. 25 at around 7:40 p.m. He was held overnight for morning arraignment.
Romel E. Richards, 21, undomiciled, was charged Jan. 20 with two felony counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, in connection with a gun found at a home on Pebble Way in Riverside on Oct. 9. He was remanded to the Suffolk County jail in Riverside in lieu of $5,000 bail.
The “Welcome to Flanders” sign at the corner of Pleasure Drive and CR 104 in Flanders was knocked down and damaged within the past few days, Southampton Town Police reported on Jan. 23. Police are asking anyone with information to call detectives at 631-702-2230.
