Allen Cowden of Manorville died on July 19, 2024, at his residence. He was 89.
Born on Jan. 30, 1935, in Remlap, Alabama, to Harry and Rosetta (Robert) Cowden, he graduated from Oneonta High School in 1951. He served in the Naval Air Reserves and the Air Force. He later worked as a carpenter for Local 1222 in Medford. His family said he was a former master mason in Locust Fork #481 and a member of the Grand Lodge of Alabama.
Cowden was predeceased by his wife, Joy (Condon) Cowden on May 17, 2021. He is survived by his sons Derek, Shane, and Lance and Joe; his daughter, Heather; his brother, Ed; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
