The Harlem Wizards are coming back to Riverhead schools this fall.
The razzle-dazzle basketball team has thrilled sold-out crowds in an annual performance with their special brand of “trick hoops and alley oops,” fancy footwork and comedy on the court since 2013.
Tickets are on sale now for the big game on Nov. 7 at Riverhead High School, where Riverhead teachers, administrators and staff will take the court to test their basketball skills — and sense of humor — against the Wizards.

The event, hosted by the Riverhead Central Faculty Association, has raised nearly $100,000 for the RCFA Scholarship Fund — all of which has been awarded directly to Riverhead Students, according to RCFA President Gregory Wallace.
In addition to the Nov. 7 performance, members of the Harlem Wizards team will visit Riverhead elementary schools, Pulaski Street School and Riverhead Middle School in advance of the show to teach kids about basketball tricks, teamwork and the effects of bullying.
New this year, RCFA is sponsoring a special Wizards fitness program, the WizFit Challenge.
The WizFit Challenge is a two-week fitness program integrated into Riverhead’s K-4 elementary PE classes. WizFit is an acronym that represents the Wizards’ character message, delivered in every Wizards show: Wellness, Imagination, Zero Hate, Fun, Inspiration & Teamwork.
The WizFIt kick-off date in Riverhead is Oct. 7 with WizFit Graduation Ceremonies on Oct. 20 and Oct. 21.
