Riverhead police: Two Florida men arrested on trespass charges for use of runway at Calverton Enterprise Park
Police said the pair were arrested by the owner of Luminati Aerospace, which has the exclusive right to use and control the runway under an agreement it entered last year with the Town of Riverhead, which owns the site.

After town board contract delay, Pataki consulting firm decides against working for Riverhead Town on EPCAL site
The firm headed by former Gov. George Pataki, who is now exploring a run for the White House, has informed Riverhead "they decline to work with the town," according to Supervisor Sean Walter, who pushed for the deal. On Feb. 18, a three-member majority of the town board tabled a resolution authorizing an agreement with the NYC consulting firm, amid concerns about commission fees and lack of time to fully review the document.
