Updated: Two people were shot in an incident after midnight on East Avenue in downtown Riverhead, police said.

Two men were shot last night in the parking lot of the Calverton Hills apartment complex located on Hill Circle, Calverton.

Riverhead Police said numerous shots were fired at an occupied home in Polish Town late last night. Several rounds entered the interior of the residence, occupied by four adults and a 4-year-old child. No one was injured.

Police are searching for an unknown male shooter said to have shot an 18-year-old female and a 19-year-old male last night on a street in a residential neighborhood off Doctors Path. The youths were each shot in the upper arm and taken to Stony Brook for treatment, police said.
