The North Babylon Bulldogs overwhelmed the Riverhead Blue Waves during yesterday’s season opener at Riverhead High School, shutting down the home team 43-0.

No. 8 Riverhead was no match for fourth-seeded North Babylon, which took a 31-0 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Waves are back at home next Saturday against West Islip, which blanked Deer Park on Friday 52-0. Kickoff time is 2:30 p.m.
