Bishop Harrison Hale, a Riverhead native who is senior pastor of Cornerstone Church of God in Christ in Medford has been named a jurisdictional prelate in the Church of God in Christ in Suffolk County.
He is the church’s first jurisdictional prelate to have a jurisdiction in Suffolk County. Hale has served as pastor of Cornerstone Church for more than 27 years.

in 1907. It is the fifth largest Protestant religious denomination in the United States with churches in 83 countries worldwide and an estimated membership of nearly 6.5 million members.
