A Riverhead woman was injured in a single-car crash on East Main Street this morning when her eastbound Nissan Rogue hit a utility pole just east of Ostrander Avenue at about 7:30 this morning.
The woman, 23, was taken by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Peconic Bay Medical Center with a reported leg injury. She was in police custody for suspicion of driving while impaired, police said. They did not immediately provide an identity.
The accident remains under investigation, police said.
