UPDATE (Aug. 15 10:05 p.m): Riverhead Police said Daniel Ortez has returned home safely. The 16-year-old, last seen at his home in Riverhead Aug. 5, was reported missing by police on Aug. 14. Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a missing runaway.

Daniel Ortez, age 16, of Riverhead was last seen on Aug. 5, police said. His whereabouts is unknown, but no foul play is suspected, police said.
