A knife-wielding man robbed a Wading River smoke shop yesterday morning, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police responded to the Wading River Smoke and Vapor Shop on Route 25A at about 9:25 yesterday morning on the report of a robbery that had just occurred.
Police determined that a man suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded money from an employee there. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area, police said.
Riverhead police detectives are investigating and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
