A woman punched two employees and forcibly removed merchandise from a clothing store at Tanger Outlets last night, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the Charlotte Russe Outlet at 8:23 p.m. Saturday.
The woman fled the scene in an unknown vehicle prior to police arrival, according to a police press release.
The Riverhead Police Department Detective Division was notified and responded to the scene to assist with the investigation, which remains ongoing.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information about it to contact them at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
