The New York State Public High School Athletic Association has recognized more than 75 percent of Riverhead High School’s varsity teams with Scholar-Athlete Team awards for the Spring 2018 season.
To earn this distinction, each team met the criteria of holding a GPA above 90 percent.
The following Blue Wave teams were acknowledged: baseball, boys lacrosse, boys outdoor track and field, girls golf, girls lacrosse, girls outdoor track and field and softball.
