Jane Gibbons of Cutchogue died on Nov. 12, 2022 at her home. She was 77 years old.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1945 to Frank and Stella Sidor. She graduated from Mattituck High School, she attended Mount St. Mary’s College where she earned her bachelors degree in early childhood education. She taught kindergarten at Greenport and then at Harborfields Elementary School in Greenlawn.
Her family said “she will be remembered for her smile and genuine friendliness, qualities that endeared her to all.”
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack, children Garth, Garet, and Theryn and brother Joseph Sidor.
Services and interment will be private. Memorial donations to East End Hospice or Planned Parenthood would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck.
