River Road in Calverton will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until noon on Sunday for grade crossing replacement work by the Long Island Railroad at the River Road crossing, west of the Long Island Expressway, Riverhead Town Police announced this week.

The LIRR said buses will replace morning and midday trains between Ronkonkoma and Greenport this weekend. See the LIRR special timetable for further information.
