Riverhead Police yesterday charged a Flanders man with felony assault and grand larceny in connection with two separate prior incidents, following investigation by Riverhead detectives, police announced last night.

Nicholas J. Fisher, 37, was arrested yesterday and charged in the assault of a man on Zion Street in Riverhead on July 6, according to Riverhead Police.

Fisher was one of two men who participated in the attack, police said. He was charged with Assault in the Second Degree, a class D felony. The investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Police yesterday also charged Fisher with the theft of several Milwaukee tools from the Riverhead Home Depot on Sept. 20. He was charged yesterday with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony, under Penal Law §155.30(1), where the value of the property stolen exceeds $1,000.
