The Greater Jamesport Civic Association will celebrate the birth of our nation with an America 250 Community Service Award Scholarhip. Up to $3,000 will be awarded to one or more students who reside east of County Route 105 within the Town of Riverhead and who will attend a college level, trade or vocational program.

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a high school senior who will graduate in 2026 and who will attend a college level, a trade or vocational program or equivalent. (A letter of acceptance will be required when the scholarship is awarded.)

Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to community service and attach a list of such activities with their application, along with any honors or awards received related to these activities.

Requirements:

  • Submit a current school transcript.
  • Include an essay with one paragraph pertaining to their community service involvement and a second paragraph that describes how their community could be improved.
  • Submit a completed America 250 Community Service Award Scholarship application.
  • Submit all documents to the Greater Jamesport Civic Association no later than April 15, 2026.
