The Greater Jamesport Civic Association will host a free New York State Citizen Preparedness Training on Thursday, June 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Jamesport Meeting House.
The training, offered through the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, is designed to help residents prepare for and respond to natural and man-made disasters. As hurricane season begins, participants will learn practical steps they can take to protect themselves, their families and their property during emergencies.
Advance registration is required.
