Othelia M. Jackson of Moriches, formerly of Riverhead, died March 13, 2026, at home. She was 91 years old.
Born Nov. 28, 1934, in Sag Harbor, she was the daughter of Andy and Mary (Magee) Milken. She attended Pearson High School. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Riverhead Nursing Home. She was affiliated with Friendship Baptist Church and the NAACP. Her family said she loved her church and missionary work.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawyer Jackson Sr. in 2017, and her son, Lawyer Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Harris of Moriches; her sister, Constance Lamb; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, March 28, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Riverhead Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
