Cynthia A. “Cindy” Chomicki of Mattituck died April 2, 2026, at home. She was 65 years old.

Born July 9, 1960, in Riverhead, she was the daughter of Joan A. (Bresee) and Harold C. Seebeck and was one of three children. When she was eight years old, her family moved to the Point of Woods community on Fire Island, where they lived full-time for many years. On April 17, 2010, at Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church in Sayville, she married Stephen A. Chomicki.
Her family said she began a lifelong battle with cancer at age 12 and never let it define her. She traveled extensively for business and pleasure, played tennis in a league for many years, golfed and enjoyed the beach, the water and outdoor activities.
