Elinor H. Bird-Squires of Winter Springs, Florida, died June 20, 2026. She was 94 years old.
Born and raised in the Riverhead area, she was the daughter of Asher “Buck” and Lila Holeston of Riverhead. She graduated from Riverhead High School in 1950. She was married to Robert C. Young, George Bird and Robert Squires.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce L. Young (Susie) of Riverhead, David C. Young of Riverhead, and Timothy A. Young (June) of Winter Springs, Florida; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A private family service followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AdventHealth Hospice, director of development/foundation, Michael Russell, at 816-589-9171.
