Alive on 25

The Riverhead BID once again has a full card of downtown events planned: Alive on 25 on four Friday nights, fireworks, Reflections- Art in the Park, Cardboard Boat Races, Halloween Fest, and a holiday parade and bonfire.

The free walkable street festival shifts to Fridays this year, with live music on multiple stages, local craft beverages, food trucks, street dining, vendors, local artisans, face painters, stilt walkers, jugglers and activities on Main Street and the Peconic Riverfront.

"Bubbelpalooza" returns to Alive on 25 tonight, part of a special "Kids Zone" in Grangebel Park, which will include activities, an LED show by Team Fun Circus and kids' movies. Plus on Main Street: Live music on six stages, craft beverages, food trucks, street dining and vendors, 5-9:30 p.m. in downtown Riverhead.

Tonight's festival was canceled because of the inclement weather forecast for the area.

Main Street will be closed to traffic between 3 and 10 p.m. today for the Alive on 25 street festival and fireworks.

'Cruise Night' — along with the fireworks display— have been rescheduled for the July 15 Alive on 25 event.

The Alive on 25 summer street festival Thursday is canceled and the fireworks rescheduled to July 15, according to the Riverhead Business Improvement District.

Calling all classic car enthusiasts: Cruise Night is returning to Downtown Riverhead during July 1’s Alive on 25 event. Classic cars will be parked on the north end of Peconic Avenue near Main Street from 4 to 8 p.m.
