Help wanted: county hiring temp workers to clean up after Sandy
Suffolk County is looking to hire temporary workers to assist in the recovery effort and clean up damages after Super Storm Sandy.
The temporary workers are funded through a grant by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Workers will be paid $14.89 per hour. Duties may include: debris removal, roadway clearing, buildings/grounds clean up and other projects as required, according to a notice on the Suffolk County website.
