Four people were arrested on DWI charges and the vehicle driven by one person was seized during a special Labor Day weekend enforcement action, Riverhead Police said in a press release today.

Riverhead Police are seeking help locating Yimy Lazo Reyes, 19, missing from Timothy Hill Ranch since Nov. 19, 2023. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500.

Riverhead Town is requiring increased security at the Calverton Enterprise Park drag racing events after one attendee stabbed another with a screwdriver on Saturday, the event’s promoter said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man they said stole nearly $200 with of clothing from the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Tanger Outlets on July 30.

Jaiylah Curry, 14,  left a Timothy Hill Ranch facility on Sound Avenue on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 8 p.m., according to Riverhead Town Police. No foul play is suspected, police said.

Riverhead Police officers will start using body cameras and vehicle cameras this Sunday. The cameras were a long-term goal of the town’s police reform plan and are considered by civil rights organizations to be an essential oversight tool for reducing police misconduct and increasing community trust.
