The Riverhead Police Department is requesting the public's help to locate Kennia Michelle Alvarez Diaz, 15, who left her home on Segal Avenue Saturday at 5 p.m and has not been seen since.

Criminal offenses fell in Riverhead from August to September and dropped 17% from criminal offenses reported in September 2024. Police Chief Ed Frost said adequate staffing in the police department has helped.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are asking the public's help to identify and locate a woman they say stole alcohol from Stop and Shop in Riverhead on Sept. 21. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Riverhead Police said James Feaster, 13, was last seen at William Floyd High School on Oct. 10 at 1:45 p.m.

Police said Josiah Poteat, 16, left the area of Walmart in Riverhead on foot on Oct. 4 at approximately 3 p.m. and has not been seen since.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two women they said stole merchandise from a Riverhead store last month.

Riverhead Town Police reported 155 criminal offenses and arrested 90 people on 98 criminal charges in August, according to a monthly crime report released this week.

UPDATE (Sept. 21) : Riverhead Police confirmed this morning that Estefani has been located unharmed. In a phone call to RiverheadLOCAL Sunday, her parents expressed thanks to the community for everyone's concern.
