Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man they say stole assorted clothing from Hollister Co. on West Main Street in Riverhead on Oct. 18.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man accused of stealing about $380 in assorted meat products from Stop & Shop on Old Country Road on March 1.

Curtis Trent Jr., 36, of Calverton, was indicted today for Murder in the Second Degree for the stabbing death of his mother, Kathleen Harrison Trent, 63, of Calverton, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced.

The Riverhead Senior Center will be open as a warming center today until 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Riverhead Town Police said in a weather advisory. 

Brian Murphy, 35, missing from a group. home in Riverhead since Sept. 17, is 5'9" tall, weighs 230 lbs., with balding red hair and brown eyes.

Riverhead Town held its first National Night Out celebration in the town square on Main Street Tuesday evening.
