A Popeyes restaurant proposed for Route 58 just west of DMV Plaza gained final site plan approval from the Riverhead Town Planning Board on Thursday.

The approval allows the development of a 2,265 square foot fast food restaurant on a currently vacant, wooded one-acre lot at 212 Old Country Road that is zoned “Business Center.” The lot is located between DMV Plaza and Malvese Equipment.
