Riverhead Town Police are investigating a burglary at a home on Remsen Road in Wading River.
An unknown person entered the residence through a rear sliding door and removed a safe from the master bedroom, police said.
Police were notified of the burglary late last night, responding to the home at 11:42 p.m., according to a press release issued early this morning.
Riverhead Police detectives are investigating and ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact police at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
