A Riverhead man is charged with burglarizing a home on East Avenue May 4, Riverhead Town Police said today.

Riverhead police detectives charged Taiheem M. McKay, 23, with one count pf second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor, police said in a press release.

McKay entered a home through a side window and removed several hudred dollars in cash, police said.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information to contact the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
