ARRESTS

14 August 2018 03:38 a.m. Arrest
Ellen Susan Castro was observed traveling South on Flanders Road at high speed and then driving in center lane and passing three cars before making a right on East Street and pulling into a driveway, according to police. Police say she had glassy eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. She failed a pre-screen breath test, indicating she was intoxicated, police said. She was arrested and transported to police headquarters where she submitted to a chemical breath test. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, driving to left of pavement markings, moving from lane unsafely, unlicensed operation and speeding.

15 August 2018 10:43 a.m.
Tony Omar Orellana Salguero of Riverhead was operating a vehicle on Flanders Road when he was stopped by police at the intersection of Flanders Road and Flanders Boulevard. He was charged with operating a vehicle without a license, operating a vehicle without insurance, unauthorized colored lights on the vehicle and equipment violation for non-transparent rear side windows, police said.

18 August 2018 01:13 a.m. Arrest
William Hynes of Flanders was driving northbound on Flanders Road when he was stopped by police at the intersection of Vail Avenue and Flanders Road for a traffic infraction. Police found he was operating in an intoxicated condition, according to the report. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate, moving from a lane unsafely and speeding.

18 August 2018 06:18 p.m.
Shanice Woodson of Riverhead was at a residence at Riverleigh Avenue when she was observed throwing rocks at windows. Police arrived at incident location to investigate. Woodson sped off in a silver vehicle upon noticing patrol car, police said. She pulled into a nearby car repair shop, and fled from the vehicle to the rear of the property. Police said a foot pursuit ensued. Woodson scaled an eight foot fence and then to continued to flee until she was apprehended by police and arrested, according to the report. Woodson was charged with resisting arrest. She was previously wanted for burglary in the second degree, criminal contempt in second degree and petit larceny.

19 August 2018 01:58 a.m.
Aureliano Mendez Guevara of Flanders was operating a vehicle with an Arizona registration westbound on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton when he was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint. Police found he was operating in an intoxicated condition, according to the report. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle without a license.

INCIDENTS

15 August 2018 01:24 a.m. Vandalism of property, criminal mischief

Unknown person or persons keyed a 2014 Nissan Altima on Meadow Brook Lane in Flanders. Vehicle had damages on driver’s side doors, driver’s side rear panel, trunk and passenger side doors and rear panel. The estimated cost of damage to exceed $1,000, police said. Detectives are investigating.
