Janet E. Clausen of Southold, formerly of Cutchogue and Venice, Florida, died on Nov. 26, 2021. She was 89 years old.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1932 in Brooklyn to Isabelle (Watkins) and George Carnegie. Her hobbies included golf, spending time with her family at the beach and attending her grandson’s sporting events on the North Fork.
She was predeceased by her husband Gus and her daughter Cindy Clausen Betz. She is survived by her sons Jeff (Stacy) of Southold and Greg (Jean) of Sarasota, Florida, grandchildren Rob (Vanessa), Kyle, Dylan, Andrew, Caitlin Clausen Chacon (Luis) of Orlando, Florida, Ryan Betz of Spring Hill, Florida, Emily Clausen Belt (Phil) of Sarasota, Florida and Thomas Clausen of Sarasota, Florida three great-grandchildren and son-in-law Fred Betz of Spring Hill, Florida.
A celebration of her life will be held in January. Interment will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery.
