Tomorrow’s Town Board meeting and Community Development Agency meetings have been canceled for lack of a quorum, meaning only two board members out of five were available to attend.

Deputy Supervisor Devon Higgins sent out a notification by email at 5 p.m. today. No further information was provided. The meeting “may be subject to rescheduling in a manner consistent with applicable rules, laws and procedures,” the notice of cancellation said.

Council Member Ken Rothwell said at Town Hall this afternoon he’s available tomorrow and just heard about the cancellation himself. Council Member Frank Beyrodt said he too is available and learned of the cancellation from Higgins’ email.

Supervisor Yvette Aguiar, council members Tim Hubbard and Bob Kern could not be reached on their cell phones this afternoon and did not immediately return phone messages seeking information.

Aguiar telephoned in to the Anti-Bias Task Force meeting at Town Hall this afternoon and said she is away for a couple of days to handle “family matters.”
