Three people were injured in a crash the intersection of Manor Road and Twomey Avenue in Calverton this afternoon. All victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.

The driver of a Toyota sedan was injured when she hit a parked Jeep on Ostrander Avenue this morning, overturning her vehicle.

Two people were injured in a crash involving a dump truck and an SUV at the intersection of CR 105 and Main Road this morning. The dump truck overturned, spilling its contents onto the roadway. The crash forced the closure of Main Road between Doctors Path/Route 58 and Route 105.

Police, emergency services agencies and Peconic Bay Medical Center will conduct a full-scale mass casualty exercise on Saturday morning at the hospital on Roanoke Avenue, which will be closed to traffic between Middle Road and the Route 58 traffic circle from 7 a.m. to 12 noon.
