Riverhead Police arrested Alexander Maldonado, 16, in connection with an attempted robbery on Roanoke Avenue Aug. 10. A second suspect remains at large, police said.

Jamar Q. Newkirk, 22, and and Kyisha M. Dozier, 30, both of Riverhead, were charged with second-degree robbery, police said in a press release late last night.

The robberies, in Riverhead and Calverton, took place within moments of each other, police said.

Police said the Domino's employee was delivering a pizza in the area of West Oakland Drive area at about 11 p.m. when three males forcibly removed cash from him. He was injured in the attack.

A woman reported being robbed at gunpoint while sitting in her car in the parking lot of a Route 58 laundromat at about 12:45 a.m. this morning, Riverhead Town Police said in a press release.

The Hispanic male victim told police three men, one armed with a black semi-automatic type hand gun, removed his cell phone and fled eastbound on Railroad Avenue.

A knife-wielding man robbed a Wading River smoke shop yesterday morning, according to Riverhead Town Police.

Three Riverhead teenagers were arrested following an armed assault and robbery on Osborne Avenue Monday night, according to police.

A Hispanic man walking alone on Pond View Road was beaten and robbed by two men shortly before midnight, police said.
